About Gym

Welcome to the Gymnastics Academy

It caters for gymnasts of different abilities, over the age of 3.5. The Academy follows the British Gymnastics floor and vault syllabus but also trains on bars, beam and trampolines.  The academy has excellent equipment including air tracks, landing inflatable’s, two trampolines, beams, junior bars, tumble tracks, vault and a full floor. For the junior gymnasts we have lots of soft play and matting.

All our coaches are fully qualified and we are extremely fortunate to have access to innovative choreographers to assist in our floor routines.

Gym Sessions per Week

Children initially attend gym once a week according to their age and ability.  Opportunities are available for them to progress through the ability groups.  Once the gymnast has achieved certain skills, he/she may be invited to attend twice a week.

The Senior squad attand 4 times a week and the junior squad attend 3 times a week.  

Academy gymnasts regularly take part in displays; we also take part in the Qatar Federation competitions called the Falcon Cup.  Our gymnasts are involved in the Inter-Gulf Regional competitions and many of our students are doing Gymnastics as part of their P.E. IGCSE and “A” Level qualifications.

The Gymnastics Academy works closely with British Gymnastics: trainee coaches are qualified through this organization.  We also work closely with the Qatar Gymnastic Federation and our squad members train in their excellent facility on a Friday. 

The world governing body of sport recognizes gymnastics as one of the three key core sports for children, alongside athletics and swimming.

We work to the ratio of one coach to 10 children.
